Interpreting Age Limit For Team (New Zealatea Press Association t NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 20. An age limit for players to tour Japan in the New Zealand colts’ Rugby side next year does -not necessarily mean that nominated players who are above the age limit will miss the trip. The chairman of the New Zealand selection panel, Mr J. L. Sullivan, said at New Plymouth tonight that the selectors had been given the authority to go outside the limit if they desired. R. H: Brown, the All Black and Taranaki five-eighths, will be 23 oh September 8, and, under the limit, would be ineligible by 10 days. In a pre-test match at Oainaru today the New Zealand Maori team beat North Otago by 18 points to 6 The Maoris led 3-0 at half-time and with 12 minutes to go the s'ore was 6-6. The Maoris then scored four tries. The Maoris* points came from five unconverted tries and a goal from a penalty. North Otago scored two unconverted tries.
