Nelson College Boy For British Tour
(From Our Own Reporter} NELSON, August 21. John Clarence Hinchcliff, a prefect at Nelson College, has been selected to represent the college on a sponsored visit to Britain next year. He will travel in company with a party of 13 other senior New Zealand secondary schoolboys on a tour arranged by the Overseas League. Now in his fifth year at Nelson College, Hinchcliff has a good all-round record. He is a member of the Nelson College first fifteen to play in the inter-college Rugby tournament beginning at Nelson on Saturday. As 16 applications were originally received from Nelson College for the trip the party was extended to include a boy specifically from the college if a fund of £3OO could be raised locally. This has been done by a citizens’ committee.
