Girl Saved After Fall From Liner

Seamen have rescued a young Adelaide woman who fell overboard from the liner Orontes in the Australian Bight.
The girl was in the sea for 17 minutes before being lifted into one of the two lifeboats launched to go to her rescue. She had been swimming strongly until picked up. 'The report said she was suffering from shock, but was not injured. Strong swells were running at the time. The report said the girl was photographing seagulls on the deck of the liner when she fell overboard. The Orontes, pit a passage from England, was travelling at 164 knots.
