Merchants, Shippers Agree (New Zealana Pres* Asgoclatlrml AUCKLAND, August 21. The Australian and New Zealand Merchants’ and Shippers’ Association has agreed that the 15 per cent, increase on shipping freight 1-ates from Britain to New Zealand is justified, according to cabled advice received in Auckland from London. The information was given in a reply from Mr J. B. Westray, managing agent for the New Zealand Shipping and Conference Lines, to a protest cabled to Britain on Monday by Mr Gainor Jackson, president of the New Zealand Bureau of Importers.
