National Dancing Competitions

National dancing competitions were held during the week-end in St. Saviour’s Schoolroom, Sydenham, all events being well supported. There were 274 entries and 135 competitors. Miss Margaret Smith was the judge. Results were as follows: Highland Fling, under eight.—Rosemary Armstrong 1. Jillian Stokes 2 Dianne Baxter and William Rowlands (equal) 3.

Cal lum, eight and under 10.—Betina Bradley 1, Julie Brewer 2, Fay Rowlands and Lynn Esplin (equal) 3. Highland Fling, 12 and over.—Lenore Stokes 1, Aileen Pringle 2, Juliet Neame 3.
