Invitations to five top overseas jockeys will be sent out today by the Melbourne Racing Club, asking them to take part in the International Stakes at Flemington on December 7.

A leading New Zealand rider is also expected to be invited to take part in this year’s events, as in past International Stakes, but so far he has not been named.
