The Hawke's Bay-Dannevirke Hunt combined meeting opened on the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s course at Hastings on Saturday in fine but overcast weather. The track was soft after overnight rain. There was a good attendance. The totalisator -handled £41,525 10s, compared with £23,890 last year, an increase of £17,635 10s.
