PUBLIC NOTICKS CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL STREET IMPROVEMENTS LOAN. 1957. £240.000 IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the Christchurch City Council at a Special Meeting held in the City Council Chamber. 194 Manchester street, Christchurch, at 4 p.m. on Monday, the 15th day of July, 1957, passed the following resolution: That in pursuance and exercise of the Powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act. 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and all amendments thereto, and all other Acts (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a Loan to be known as “Street Improvements Loan, 1957,” of an amount of Two Hundred and Forty Thousand Pounds (£240.000) for the purpose of improving streets and constructing kerbing. channelling and footways, ’ subject to the following conditions:— 1. The term for which the said Loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall not exceed twenty years. 2. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said Loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five per cent per anannum. 3. The said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in Clause 1 hereof, or as varied with the approval of the Local Authorities Loans Board. 4. The payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. 5. The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per cent, of any amount raised, or such higher rate as may be authorised by the Local Authorities Loans Board. 6. No money shall be borrowed under this sanction after the 9th day of July, 1960. 7. That the security for the repayment of the said Loan and the charges thereon shall be a special rate of Forty-three Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-one-Three Hundred and Twelve Thousand Fivehundredths of a penny (43851/312500d) in the Pound (£.00058468) on the unimproved value of the whole City of Christchurch. 8. That the Christchurch Cfty Sinking Fund Commissioners vis.: George Manning, Herbert Stanley Feast and Terence Henderson McCombs be and are hereby appointed Sinking -Fund Commissioners in respect of the said Loan. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, it is hereby publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Christchurch City Council to be held in the City Council Chamber, situate as aforesaid, at 8 p.m. on Monday, the 12th day of August. 1957, for confirmation as a Special Order. It is hereby further publicly notified that a poll of ratepayers is required to be taken if five per cent, of the ratepayers of the City of Christchurch so demand, by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution hereinbefore mentioned. HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the following resolution was adopted at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch City Council held in the City Council Chamber, 194 Manchester street. Christchurch, at 8.30 p.m. cm Monday, the Ist day of July 1957. “In pursuance of the powers vested in*it by Section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act. ‘ 1954, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order to pedmit the laying off of a street off Condell avenue at a width fbr part of its length of 60 feet through Part R.S. 323 being part of the land contained in Certificate* of Title Volume 390, Folio 227, Canterbury Registry, subject to the condition that no part of any building shall stand within 15 feet of the side lines of the street.” It is hereby further publicly notified that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Christchurch City Council to be hdld in the City Council Chamber, situate at aforesaid, at 8 p.m. on Monday, the 12th day of August, 1957, for confirmation as a Special Order.
