CASH AND CHEQUES STOLEN
Thieves Break Into House
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 4.
Aoout £350 in notes and silver and £5OO in cheques were stolen in a well-timed housebreak in Mount Roskill last night.
Between 7.25 p.m., when the owner of the house, Mr A. Gould, owner-director of Variety Auctions, Ltd., left the house for the cinema with his Wife, and 8.15 p.m. when his son returned to the house with three friends to listen to recorded music, the thief broke in and removed the money.
