New Hong Kong Governor

(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, August 2. Sir Robert Black, the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Singapore, has been appointed to be next Governor of Hong Kong, the Colonial Office announced in London yesterday.

He will succeed Sir Alexander Grantham, who will retire at the end of this year. Sir Robert Black will take up his appointment early next year. He was Colonial Secretary in Hong Kong from 1952 to 1954, when he took over .his present post in Singapore.
