FIRES STARTED IN HOUSE
Police Investigation In Auckland
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 2. The police are investigating attempts to burn down two disused houses in Yelverton terrace, Auckland, on Wednesday. The two houses are dilapidated wooden structures, next door but one to each other. There is clear evidence that both blazes were, started from pilot fires on the front door steps of both' buildings. ' One of the houses has been set alight on two other occasions re cently. Both houses are on land owned by the Ministry of Works
