MAN RUN OVER BY TRUCK
£10,084 Awarded For Injuries
(New Zeaiana Press Association) NAPIER, August 2.
A jury in the Supreme Court at Napier yesterday afternoon awarded David George Baker, oi Hastings, £10,084 10s damages against his former employers. H.B. Asphalts, Ltd., Hastings, for injuries received in January last year when a backing truck passed over him as he was endeavouring to untie a tow-rope underneath the vehicle. Baker, who said that the injuries received would greatly incapacitate him for the rest of Ms life, claimed £17,839.
