INCIDENT ASSAULT ON MALES
Preventive Detention Imposed (New Zeaiana Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 4.
Leonard Harold Herbert, aged 35. a hospital orderly, described by the Crown as being a menace to society, was sentenced to preventive detention (three to 14 years) by Mr Justice Hutchison in the Supreme Court today on "i arges of indecently assaulting males.
Herbert had been committed from the Napier Magistrate’s Court to the Supreme Court for sentence on 13 charges of indecently assaulting males and one of attempted indecent assault.
