TO MAKE AND LEVY the undermentioned Rates upon Lyttelton, for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1957, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1958, payable in one sum at the Town Clerk's Office, Oxford street. Lyttelton, on the sth day of August, 1957. 1. A GENERAL RATE OF TWO SHILLINGS AND FIVE PENCE HALFPENNY in the £, made under provisions of Section 90 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1954.” and “The Rating Act, 1925." 2. A WATER RATE (ordinary supply) made under Section 95 of “The Municipal Corporations Act. 1954, and “The Rating Act, .1925.” (a) Upon all lands and dwelling houses to which water is sup. plied where the annual rateable value does not exceed £l2 10s a rate of one pound per’annum where such value does exceed. £l2 10s a rate of one and a half per cen- . turn of such value, tut in no case shall the rate be less than one pound. (b) Upon all land and buildings to which water can be, but .s not supplied situate within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks, a rate of one half the respective Rates mentioned in Clause (a > hereof. (c) Upon all buildings used for any purpose other than as dwelling houses, a Rate of one half the rate mentioned in Clause la) hereof. Minimum charge where water is laid on, ten shillings. A WATER RATE (extraordinary supplv) made under Section 95 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1954.” and '"Veh Rating Act, 1925." (a) Upon all Water supplied to Ships a rate of five shillings for one thousand gallons. (b) Upon all Water supplied for any extraordinary purpose other than to ships, a rate of two shillings and ninepence for one thousand gallons. 3. A LIBRARY RATE OF ONE AND A HALF PENCE in the £ made under provisions of Section 104 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1954,” and "The Rating Act. 1925.” 4. A DIAMOND HARBOUR WATER AND SEWERAGE SPECIAL RATE CF ONE SHILLING AND FIVEPENCE in £ made under the provisions of Section 21 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act. 1926,” and .'The Rating Act, 1925.” to be levied on that part of the Borough , known as Diamond Harbour. IT IS HEREBY FURTHER PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that the Valuation Roll is open for inspection without fee by all ratepayers during Office hours, which are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.
