PLUNKET RADIO APPEAL

The following are some of the contributions which could not be acknowledged by radio on the night of the appeal. Further lists will be published and names will appear in one o* other of the Christchurch newspapers. No contribution will be acknoweldged in both papers. The Plunket Society thanks:—

Lyttelton Court Sitting.—Yesterday, for the first time, the sitting of the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court was held in the council chamber. The Magistrate occupied the mayoral chair and the witness box from the old courtroom, now made portable, was brought into the chamber for the occasion. There was, however, practically no accommodation for the public. The courtroom was unheated. Although it is provided with three gas heaters, they were not used.
