Conversion Plans The North Canterbury Hospital Board’s case for the transfer of the children from the Waltham Home to the Fresh Air Home, Cashmere, is almost ready for submission to the Director-Gen-eral of Health (Dr. J. Cairney). After an inspection of the two institutions and examination of the architect’s sketch plan for the conversion of the Waltham Home at an estimated cost of £lB9O, the benevolent committee reported this to the board yesterd3“The Fresh Air Home could be occupied by the children at an early date and with a minimum of expenditure. Authority has been given to proceed with preparatory work,” said the report The new names proposed by the board are: Huntsbury Children’s Home and Waltham Aged People’s Home. r A deputation will meet Dr. C. A Taylor, director, Division ot Hospitals of the Department of Health, when he is mi Christchurch on June 4 to inspect the two homes.
