PUBLIC SERVICE COURSE
Addresses To Senior Officers A management course for senior Public Service officers will begin in Christchurch on Monday. Twenty-four divisional officers will take part. Sixteen different departments will be represented, and 10 of the participants will come from outside Christchurch. Only one will come from the North Island. Local controlling officers will give addresses on organisation and co-ordination, the planning of work and delegation. The course will be held on a discussion basis, with members participating at every stage. Mr E. J. Ironside, senior inspector and Christchurch representative of the Public Service Commission, will open the course at the ministerial rooms on Monday. Later in the year the course will be repeated for different senior officers. Junior officers will also have the opportunity to attend special courses on super - 1 vision.
