COMMERCIAL Sharemarket Firm But Inactive
Share prices were buoyant on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday but turnover was not up to average. Canterbury Frozen Meat advanced a further 10s in a sale at £33. Buyers of .New Zealand Refrigerating offered 43s—2s 6d above last local business —without attracting a seller. Other gains were made by Bank of N.S.W., Huddart Parker, Andrews and Beaven preference, 8.H.P., Coles and D.I.C.
