Presbyterian and Congregational Churches of New Zealand and Australia will be reviewed when the Joint Board of Graded Lessons meets in Melbourne this week. Christchurch representatives will be the Rev. R. J. Griffiths (St. Ninian’s), Presbyterian) and the secretary of the Presbyterian Youth Office (Mr A. M. Goss). The lesson selection conference will consider submissions from church drafting committees and revise the lesson and studv plans of the Joint Board for 1959, 1960 and 1961. Attention will be given to United States developments based on theme work. A central study is chosen for a year’s work, for example “the Bible” or "Jesus Christ,” with the intention of maintaining a unity of interest and purpose in the syllabus. Messrs Goss and Griffiths leave by air for Australia today.
