Identification Of Babies
(New Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, May 21. The Hawke’s Bay Hospital Board is considering a change in the method of identifying newborn babies. At present, name tapes are tied on babies* wrists, but this method is considered to be unsatisfactory. The board decided yesterday to examine an alternative method, usinh coloured plastic beads, each representing a letter of the alphabet. The name of a new-born baby is compiled on a string of beads, and attached to the neck or wrist of an infant.
