Nicholas Kaye, Ltd., have published PARIS, another of the magnificent "Les Beaux Pays series, w’hich has gained an mtemationai reputation for beauty of illustrations and for a high standard of production. The letterpress is an excellent guide book story of Paris, but the chief attractions are the 200 heliogravure illustrations which delight the eye with famous Parisian scenes and with pictures of Parisis greatest treasures in art and architecture. THE HERITAGE OF SCOTLAND IN COLOUR and IRELAND IN COLOUR are two volumes in a new series introduced by Angus and Robertson. Each book begins with an essay describing in general terms characteristic topography of the country in question. Descriptions turn to the particular with pieces dealing with each subject illustrated. These pieces are of very high standard; the Scottish pieces are written by John Kerr, of the National Trust of Scotland, the Irish pieces by W. R. Rodgers, a noted Irish poet. In each book a really beautiful collection of coloured photographs does justice to
