A.T.C. FLYING COURSE
16 Boys To Train At Wigram
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 19.
Winners of 16 air training corps flying scholarships have been announced by Royal New Zealand Air Force Headquarters. This is the second year the scholarships have been awarded. The recipients will have three weeks’ training at Wigram. Each .of the 16 boys—whose ages average 17 years—will fly solo in a service aircraft before he finishes his course.
The boys are: B. F. Atkins (Hamilton), A. A. Wood (Mount Albert), A. C. Bibby (Matamata), B. T. Parr (Avondale), ,D. M. McDonald (Auckland), JZ&. Cook (Auckland), P. M. R. Browne (Wellington), P. J. Foster (Gisborne), G. N. Lucas (Dunedin), L. S. Penny (Nelson), P. G. Pinney (Christchurch), J. D. McHerron (Westport), B. F. Dawkins (Nae Nae), P. J. Boyd (Wanganui), N. J. Ferguson (Christchurch), G. G. Milward (Wanganui).
