Friendly Fixtures For Week-end
As well as the trial match to oe played at Lancaster Park today, many friendly Rugby matches have been set down for this week-end. Several teams will compete in tournaments outside Canterbury. The following friendly matches are to be played:— Today.—Albion v. Southern (Dunedin), Rugby Park, 3 p.m.; Merivale v. Alhambra (Dunedin), Lancaster Park oval, 1.30 p.m.; SunnysideSpreydon v. Cobden (West Coast), Lancaster Park oval, 11 a.m.; Technical v. Southbridge, Rugby Park, 1.30 p.m.; Sydenham v. Belfast, Waltham Park, 1.30 p.m.; New Brighton v. Kowai, Rawhiti Domain, 2.30 p.m., Belfast v. Sydenham. Waltham Park, 1.30 p.m.; Christchurch to. compete in triangular tournament at Dunedin with Pirates and Wellington; Marist to compete m tournament for South Island Roman Catholic clubs, at Nelson; Linwood v Union (Dunedin), at Dunedin; High School Old Boys v. Timaru High School Old Boys, at Timaru. Monday.—University v. Cheviot, Rugby Park, 3 p.m.; Linwood, Marist and Christchurch teams to continue play in tournaments.
