ELDERLY MAN KILLED

Two Cars Collide (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 19. Adam Scott Turnbull, aged 72, a widower, of Outram, was killed when the car in which he was the sole occupant was involved in a collision on the Main South road at 10.30 a.m. today. A passenger in the other car. Mrs Mabel Gumpatzes, aged 49, of Roxburgh, was admitted to the Dunedin Public Hospital with head injuries. Her condition was given as satisfactory. The Outram police said that Mr Turnbull was turning south on to the main road from the Outram-Allanton road when the collision occurred.

The other car was driven by Edward George Gumpatzes, who was travelling north. Gumpatzes was not injured.
