The Wake And Baraden "The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, April 17. The Wairarapa Racing Club will open its two-day autumn meeting at Tauherenikau on Saturday. The double will be on the Queen Elizabeth Handicap and the Martinborough Handicap. There has been a little rain, but this would improve the going, which has been firm. Selections: — 11.15 a.m.—Tuhitarata High-weight: Coral’s Son, Selection, Royal Inca. Noon.—-Novice Stakes—First Division: Brian’s Boy, Doggie. Second Division: St. Reynard, Marveen. 12.45 p.m.—Stepfeldt Stakes: New Year’s Eve, Mama Mia, Vita Glow. 1.30 p.m.—Queen Elizabeth Handicap: The Wake, Mars, Shaun. 2.15 p.m.—Wairarapa Nursery Handicap: Ballador, Sonella, Froth. 3.0 p.m.—Martinborough Handicap: Baraden, Hot Drop, Nelson’s Blood. 3.45 p.m.—Rototawai Hack Handicap: Balfast, Lady Verona, Golden Warrior. 4.30 p.m.—Kahutara Hack Handicap: Arran, Shahnui, Scottish King.
