“PEROXIDE” SUBMARINE VISITS LONDON.—Said to be the fastest submarine afloat, Britain’s revolutionary experimental submarine Explorer entering the West India dock, London, on March 19, for a six-day visit. She is being used to train the Navy’s new frigates in the latest tactics against submarines with high underwater speeds. This submarine, with a standard displacement of only 780 tons, can attain a submerged speed of over 20 knots, using high test peroxide fuel.
