U.N. RESOLUTIONS ON HUNGARY
Support By N.Z. Refugees
A telegram to the Prime Minister (Mr Holland), asking that New Zealand support the enforcement of the United Nations resolutions on Hungary and the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Hungary, was sent by the Hungarian Club of Auckland, the New Zealand Baltic Club, and the Ukrainian Association, on March 15. Hungarian Freedom Day. This day commemorates the beginning of the revolution against Austria in 1848.
These three organisations also sent a cablegram to the SecretaryGeneral of the United Nations (Mr Dag Hammarskjold) expressing New Zealand refugees’ support for the enforcement of the United Nations resolutions on Hungary. ,
