FREE TRADE BLOC
Effect On N.Z. Exports (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 10. The growth of a free trade bloc in Europe will not adversely affect New Zealand exports to Britain, according to the Pcr= manent Secretary of the British Board of Trade, Sir Frank Lee. who arrived in Auckland today after trade talks in Australia. Britain had consistently made it clear that it would not take part in European free trade unless products of the kind New Zealand marketed in Britain were excluded from the agreement, he said.
He denied that Britain had sought to create a market for its own goods in the Argentine by pressing Argentina to sell beef in Britain.
In Wellington, he will have talks on trade with the Government. Many men in the administration were old friends of his, he said.
