ANGLICAN STUDENTS
YOUTH COUNCIL’S WELCOME More than 100 students from Canterbury University College, the Christchurch Teachers’ College, and hostels connected with them attended the annual welcome by the Diocesan Youth Council . of the Church of England yesterday. The students were addressed by the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt. Rev. A. K. Warren). The Rev. H. G. Norris welcomed the students on behalf of the council. A welcome was also extended to Mr and Mrs Paul Goddard. Mr Goddard will take up an appointment as chaplain at Canterbury University College under the sponsorship of a committee representative of the National Council of Churches in Christchurch. Because of the wet weather, the] function was held in St. Luke’s hall instead of at Bishopscourt.
