PROBATION FOR CONSTABLE
THEFTS FROM CANTEEN FUNDS (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 22. Richard Cundy Marychurch. a 20-year-old police constable, who last week admitted stealing sums of £5 and 9s 6d from the canteen conducted by the Auckland Police Football Club at the police barracks, was today admitted to probation for 12 months in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court. Mr M. C. Astley, S.M., said it was a great pity to find Marychurch in his present position, for it was clear he had many good qualities. “You must now leave this behind you and look to the future,” the Magistrate said.
