CONTRIBUTIONS TO TRADE
’’ITALIAN HONOURS FOR NEW ZEALANDERS
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 20.
At the Italian Legation tonight, the Italian Minister, Count Pio Maachi di Cellere, presented honours bestowed on two Wellington citizens by the Italian Republic. Mr A. A. Beuth, managing director of Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd., received the Knighthood of Merit of the Republic of Italy for fostering trade relations with that country, and Mr Antonio Paino received the Star of Italian Solidarity for outstanding contributions to the Italian community in New Zealand.
The Minister announced that he would be handing to Mr R. S. Milne, of Auckland, the Knighthood of Merit of the Republic of Italy for services to trade between the two countries when he visils Auckland early next month.
