DISAPPOINTING RACE BY BILL BAILLIE
(N.Z Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Feb. 10. The New Zealand mile runner, Bill Baillie, ran a disappointing race yesterday to finish third in the' mile in the South Australian amateur athletic championships at the University Oval. Herb Elliott (Western Australia) won the event by 25 yards, and just failed to break his own world junior mile record of 4min 6sec. Baillie came in 10 yards behind the second place winner, Les Trigg (South Australia).
