RELIABILITY TRIAL
Mrs J. Monk Wins 700-Mile Event DUNEDIN, January 27. The Christchurch entrant, Mrs J. Monk, won the women’s tourist trophy reliability trial which was completed last night. Mrs Monk and her navigator, Mrs N. Kennard. lost only 77 points over the 700-mile course through Otago and Canterbury. The trial was the first of its kind in New Zealand and was organised by the Dunedin International Motor Show Committee in conjunction with the annual show. Minor placings were filled by the following entrants:— Mrs M. P. Swan (Dunedin) lost 98 points. 2; Miss G. Clements (Dunedin) lost 107 points. 3: Mrs N. B. Nye (Dunedin) lost iO9 points, 4; Miss J. Macfarlane (Christchurch) lost 110 points, 5; Mrs J. I. Steffensen (Karitane) lost 147 points, 6.
