NEW BOY’S HIGH SCHOOL ON CLUSTER PLAN.—This panoramic view from the main entrance shows only part of the new Shirley Boys’ High School, which is the first in the South Island on the cluster plan and the first in New Zealand to have an assembly hall built integrally in the main contract. Immediately to the right of the large hall run the administrative offices, further to the right is one of the detached blocks containing the library, and general, geography, and arts, crafts, and modelling rooms, and on the extreme right can be seen the end of the workshops and laboratory block on a raised terrace. The new school will open on February 5.
