The Prime Minister (Mr Holland), who has been on holiday at his North Canterbury farm. “Greta Paddock.” will return to Wellington by air today.
The appointment of Mr Eric Francis Rothwell, of Lower Hutt, as a Stipendiary Magistrate to take effect from January 20 was notified in last night's Gazette. Mr Rothwell’s appointment as a Warden is also notified in the i Gazette.—(P.A.) ' Brigadier W. H. B. Bull, the j Director-General of Medical Services at Army headquarters, will 1 visit the Tekapo Military Camp I today. He will inspect the three territorial field ambulance units which are having their annual camp at Tekapo. Lieutenant (Quartermaster) A. W. Stitt, of 11th Coast Regiment. R.N.Z.A., has been seconded for two years’ service with the Fiji military forces. He will leave in March for Fiji, where he will be adjutant. Mr Lou Klewer, president of the Outdoor Writers’ Association of America, and outdoors editor of “The Blade.” Toledo, Ohio, may visit New Zealand, and possibly Christchurch, about the middle of this year. He is expecting to make a trip to South Africa and hopes to return to the United States by way of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The Outdoor Writers’ Association’s members are newspapermen and free lance writers on outdoor activities and hobbies from all over the United States.
