PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH

AUSTRALIAN PARTY’S VISIT

A party of 56 young persons, members of the Presbyterian Fellowship of Australia, arrived in Christchurch this week. The main purpose of the group’s visit to New Zealand was the recent Ecumenical Youth Conference at Palmerston North, but since its arrival at Auckland on December 27, the party has visited many parts of both islands, including Rotorua, Mount Cook and Milford Sound. They will depart from Harewood for Australia in a specially chartered TEAL aircraft at 11 a.m. today. All members of the party, led by the Rev. C. Thompson, are from Victoria. They are being billeted while they are in Christchurch. A similar party of New Zealand Presbyterian Bible class members now touring Australia attended the Australian Presbyterian Fellowship conference in Adelaide.
