Ballet Impressions
This conversation piece was heard between two mothers after being persuaded to go to the ballet in London by their culture conscious daughters: “I didn’t think much of it. Everybody teetering about on their toes. Why couldn’t they choose people tall enough in the first place?” said one mother. “I wasn’t struck either. In fact, I couldn’t hear a word,” said the other.—London, January 5.
