BOWLS SOUTH ISLAND TITLES
SINGLES WON BY R. G. MORRISON (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Jan. 6. R. G. Morrison, many times Waihopai and Southland champion, added the South Island singles bowls championship to his record when he beat W. J. Cole (Andersons Bay) in the final at Invercargill yesterday. Morrison won after trailing Cole for nine-tenths of the game. The finalists in the South Island rinks championships are: Hampden (W. B. Belcher. D. Leonard, C. L. Stokes. K. G. Sitchison) and Te Rangi (J. E. H. Stewart, A. W. McDougall, D. D. Kerr, B. Noble). They will play off tomorrow.
