PALMERSTON N.. Dec. 27. The concluding day of the Manawatu Racing Club’s meeting was held today at Awapuni in a steady drizzle before a fair attendance. The Freyberg Handicap was won easily by Monogram, and a £l2lB Ils 6d double was returned when the outsider, Oxon, won the second leg at odds of more than 50 to 1. The totalisator handled £60,392, against £87,944 last year. The total for the meeting was £278,805 10s, a decrease on last year of £29.998 10s.
