GIFT PORTRAIT OF THE QUEEN.—The London artist, Mr Edward Halliday, was commissioned by Sir Ernest Davis, a former Mayor of Auckland, to paint this full-length portrait of Her Majesty. The painting is to be presented to the City of Auckland in the name of Sir Ernest Davis and the late Lady Davis.
