The women’s editor of “The Press” and her assistant gratefully acknowledge Christmas and l r ew Year greetings sent by Canterbury women’s organisations and readers of “The Press,” and heartily reciprocate their kind thoughts and good wishes.
Mrs Rubi Jessie Seddon-Woods, the youngest daughter of Richard John Seddon, died recently at St. Margarets-at-Cliffe, Kent. England. Mrs SeddonWoods. who .was born at Kumara, had not been in New Zealand for many years. After her marriage to a naval officer she settled in England. A radio-gramophone was presented to Sister Hilda for St. Michael’s School, Christchurch, by members of the old pupils’ association at their recent Christmas party. All guests placed gifts round a decorated Christmas tree, and they were later distributed to children in the Diocesan Social Service Council’s homes.
