YOUTH KILLED
DRIVER OF CAR BADLY
INJURED (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 23. A youth was killed and a man seriously injured last night when a car left the road and struck a bridge approach one mile north of Mercer. The youth was:— Mac Pompey, aged 16, of Mangatangi, Pokeno. He was admitted to the Middlemore Hospital, but died at 11.20 p.m. The driver of the vehicle, Keith Goss, aged 30, a carpenter, of 54 Great North road, Auckland, was admitted to hospital with chest injuries.
