HALLIDAY PORTRAIT OF THE QUEEN
DUKE ACCEPTS GIFT OF PHOTOGRAPH (New Zeaiana Press Assoctattcn) AUCKLAND, December 23. In the Duke of Edinburgh’s baggage, as he travels home to England, is a photograph of a portrait of the Queen by Edward J. Halliday. In Auckland, the Duke was so impressed by the photograph that he asked its owner. Sir Ernest Davis, whether he could have it. Sir Ernest Davis obligedThe portrait was commissioned by Sir Ernest Davis. It will be presented to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. It is expected to arrive in New Zealand about March.
