FORMATION EXPECTED IN CHRISTCHURCH
New Zealand’s first apprentices’ association might be formed in Christchurch next year, said the chairman of the Apprenticeship Week Committee (Mr J. R. Smith) yesterday. More than £6O. representing the profit from Apprenticeship Week, will be given to the Christchurch Technical College and the Papanui High School, which provide technical training for apprentices.
The small profit from the Appren ticeship Week concert will be giver to the combined orphanages.
