The 60 passengers in this plane will bring to 426 the number of Hungarians in six drafts to come to New Zealand. One draft of refugees has already landed in the country Three more planeloads will leave Austria on December 31, and two m ore W1 ! 1 le ave on January 11. The sixth group of Hungarians would include a large proportion of families, said Mr Hanan today. The nrst draft had comprised mainly single men and women. j 25 - j° j the 426 Hungarians who had decided to come to New Zealand included 83 single persons. z.» childless married couples, 19 couples with one child. 11 couples with two children, and three couples with three children, said Mr Hanan. There were also widows with children, totalling nine persons. Mr Hanan said that a draft of German and Austrian nationals would leave for New Zealand by plane on January 16. A high proportion oi those selected were young women.
