PARKS’ RETURN DELAYED BY ILLNESS

Jim Parks, the M.C.C. and Susse> allrounder. who should have left London bv air vesterday for Johannesburg, to rejoin his M.C.C. team-mates, became ill shortly before the aircraft was due to leave. He was taken off the aeroplane, which left without him. P.irks, who returned to England a few weeks ago because of blurred vision, was pronounced fit last week, and •it was decided that he could rejoin the tour narty. He had a bout of vomiting in the deoarture lounge, and was again ill when he boarded the aircraft. He was taken to 'hospital. , His wife, who was at the airport to see him off. said his illness was just an attack of nerves. “He will soon get over it. she added.
