FINGERNAILS
Sir.—l entered a shop to buy some trifles, but was so distracted by the server’s claw-like sharp red nails that I ended by not making a purchase. From there, I had reason to go to the Public Hospital, where I at once was struck by the short, well-kept, clean appearance of the sister’s nails, where germs could not easily enter. Which pair of hands are the nicest and most hygienic?—Yours, etc., BE NATURAL. December 18, 1956.
