NEW ZEALAND TOUR BY FIJI
RECOMMENDATION FOR NEXT YEAR (New Aeatana Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 18. As a result, of the recent visit by Mr C. S. Hogg, chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union, to Fiji, a recommendation will be made to the union’s council that Fiji be invited to send a team to New Zealand next year, but that in the meantime no tour be arranged for a Tongan team. It was reported at last night’s meeting of the executive that a grant of not more than £6OO would be made to Fiji towards the cost of outfitting, and a further grant might be considered at the end of the tour. It was mentioned that the All Blacks visiting Australia next year might play 11 matches, including some in country centres.
