ALDORA APPEAL CASE
Hearing Adjourned Until Today
The hearing of appeals by W. Thomson and M. C. Flaws against five-year terms of disqualification were b**gun in Christchurch yesterday. Thomson and Flaws were found guilty of failing to take proper precautions to prevent a drug being administered to Aldora, winner of the President’s Handicap at Forbury Park on October 13. A swab taken from Aldora after that race proved positive.
After sittting throughout yesterday the hearing was adjourned until today. The appeal is being heard by Mr H. Taylor (Wellington). Dr. W. G. Todd (Ashburton), and Mr R. G. Hudson (Waikouaiti). Mr A. W. Brown is representing the appellants, and Mr H. S. Thomas the New Zealand Trotting Conference.
