Withdrawal Of Israelis
(Rec. 8 p.m.) CAIRO, December 16. The United Nations commander in Egypt (Major-General E. L. M. Burns) said today that the Israeli forces will make a further withdrawal eastwards out of Sinai this week. Thousands of Israelis staged a torchlight procession in Tel Aviv tonight in protest against the Government’s order to Israeli forces to withdraw from the Sinai Desert.
